Kentucky
The city of Lexington, located in the Bluegrass Region of the state, bills itself as the horse capital of the world. This horse crazy city is home to the Kentucky Horse Park, a working horse farm and education theme park that is the only one of its kind in the world.
Though Kentucky is not one of the largest states, its geography is very diverse and most of the state enjoys a moderate, four-season climate. From the scenic peaks and valleys of the Daniel Boone National Forest to the crystal clear waters of The Land Between the Lakes, Kentucky is a trail rider’s mecca.
Kentucky is also renowned for its bourbon whisky distilleries, bluegrass music, and college basketball. The largest city is Louisville followed by Lexington and Owensboro.
